It is August already! Well close enough. The weather is hot in Southern Missouri but no surprise there. My antique booth is closing this weekend. I am rather relived. I don't want to pay every month for an antique booth anymore. but I have been thinking of signing up and being a vender at an antique fair. One or two days and over for the year. I wonder if that works for anyone else?

I purchased a trampoline over the weekend. I always read they were so hard to put up, but it seemed very easy. It took my husband and son around two hours from box to jumping. My son got in and immediatly started doing flips and landed with his neck in a bad position. He has a sore neck but that is all. I thought "Great, I buy a trampoline and kill my son" . In other news my husband called this morning and wanted to know what my firefighter son's phone number was, he needed to get in touch with him. Didn't say why, but I could hear the emergency in his voice. As it turns out a firefighter\paramedic in the next neighborhood over was shot and killed while responding to a fire. Some bastard shot him after lighting his own vehicle and house on fire. I guess he was some lunatic, but it makes me so angry. Bless the firefighter he was only twenty-two years old with one year on the job.

Another weekend, finally. My antique store is closing at the end of the month and I have a few weeks to remove all my stuff from my booth. What am I going to do with all of it? Just goes to show you better just buy things you love cause you may end up with all of it. I have to work on some projects and find room in my house, it will be hard.

the picture below is the tile my DIL made for her daughters school. Beautiful! She is a beautiful little girl, and her mom is such a talented lady. My DIL's name is Christie and she always impresses me with her artisitic abilities. She takes an idea, and runs with it. What I like is she finishes her projects which is something I haven't mastered as yet.

The picture below is one of my granddaughter, Audrey. One of my daughter-in-laws uses Picassa to work a picture so you can make a stencil then she uses black paint to set it to canvas. It turns out so well. She made a tile of her daughter for her school, it was so good! I will try to post it later.

I have an antique booth that I have been ignoring for a while now. It is not making me any money, just cost me. So I buy thing to put in the booth then have to pay rent to store the stuff I buy. So either I'm not buying the right things or I'm not pricing things correctly or my display sucks. I will post pictures of the booth and see what it would look like to other people. I am going to have to either give it some attention, or get out. Problem is my husband doesn't like having the stuff at my house. I have to give this some thought. I should know you can't make a success of anything without working hard at it. I had such good intentions.
